Take
a
vacation from stress!
All too often, we hurry from home to work and back again, trying to
squeeze 72 hours of obligation into 24 hours of actual time. The resulting
destruction of our good health is rarely taken into consideration until
we are overloaded with stress.
With
such a pace accepted as a daily routine, we resent the infringement
of the common cold or think that a nagging backache is something we
just have to tolerate. More and more professionals now are realizing
they suffer from stress-related health problems and need to find an
outlet for the pressure. Massage is a way many choose to release the
tension while enjoying the luxury of personal care. Regular stress-relieving
massages can increase alertness, efficiency and the enjoyment of life.
Massage
Techniques include:
Swedish
Massage: long relaxing strokes over most of the body to promote
general relaxation, improve circulation and range of motion, relieve
muscle tension.
Deep Tissue Massage: deep pressure and slow strokes on contracted
tissue to release chronic patterns of tension and help eliminate by-products
of strenuous exercise.
Reflexology: finger pressure on the reflex points of the hands
and feet for relief from soreness due to congestion in corresponding
organs.
Orthobionomy: stretching the side of the body opposite from a
restriction to cause overcompensation and thus relaxation.
Myofascial release: passive and active movement of the muscle
layers for the release of long-term restrictions in the soft tissue.
Discover
the Benefits of Raindrop Therapy
As
provided by Elaine Allen, Main Street Massage
Raindrop
Therapy is a powerful, non-invasive tool for helping to correct
defects in the curvature of the spine. During the years it has been
practiced, it has been able to resolve numerous cases of scoliosis and
eliminate the need for back therapy. It has also helped people with
pain management in chronic pain issues.
Raindrop Therapy originated from the research of Gary Young and a Lakota
medicine man in the 1970s. It integrates a reflexology technique and
essential oils application to bring the body into both structural and
electrical alignment.
Raindrop
Therapy is based on the theory that many types of scoliosis and spinal
misalignments are caused by viruses or bacteria that lie dormant along
the spine. These pathogens created inflammation, which, in turn contorts
and disfigures the spinal column.
Raindrop
Therapy incorporates a sequence of highly powerful and antimicrobial
essential oils designed to simultaneously reduce inflammation and kill
any of the viral agents responsible for it.
Oils
are dispensed like little drops of rain from a height of about six inches
above the back along the vertebrae. Although the entire process takes
about 45 minutes to complete, the oils will continue to work in the
body for 5-7 days following treatment, with continued re-alignment taking
place during this time.
With
this relaxing and mild application the Raindrop technique brings balance
to the mind and body, relieves sore and tired muscles, boosts the immune
system, re-aligns the body both structurally and electrically, and oxygenates
your body.
